Deputy Fred

Deputy Fred is named for Jim Nabors' character in the movie, "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas". It is another variation of the RCA, similar to Ed Earl and Bobby Sargent. Mr. Nabors' hat was made taller, to compliment his face shape and in the color we now call Sahara. The ribbon band, which is no longer available from our suppliers, we still have a limited supply of. It is called a 6 cord, or 6 ply, ribbon, if you are wanting to replicate the look. We have added the Requested Brim Width option. If you prefer the standard width, please just type in, "standard" or "as shown". If you type in a request that is not possible for the style you have chosen, we will contact you before proceeding with your order. All hat orders are custom made and will take 4 to 8 weeks to make. Rush orders must be placed by phone or in person, and will add a fee, to be assessed at the time of order. Note: Custom Hat Band must be ordered separately.
